Bobbie Byrd lives to create and craft.  She started at the age 8 by making parachutes out of trash bags and winning awards for her fairies made from mud.  25 years later she’s morphed into creating people, namely 3 little girls, with her husband.

Somedays you can find her making headboards or wall art for their Houston area home. Other days she’s busy homeschooling their three girls, born in 2005, 2006 and 2009.

No matter what she’s creating, she’s chronicling it on her blog, Clumsy Crafter.  Founded in 2008, has been featured on sites such as BuzzFeed, Apartment Therapy, Curbly, Tatertots and Jello, Incourage, and numerous other sites.

Lately Clumsy Crafter was featured in Family Fun Magazine.

Active with the Houston Bloggers since it’s founding, she stepped into the role of Assistant Director of the Houston Bloggers in 2013.

In order to bring beneficial eduction to even more bloggers, Bobbie joined Lisa Stauber in forming Blog Elevated Conference.  Together they hold a conference each year that stresses professional development of bloggers.

Blog Elevated has also developed into a strong community of bloggers that help one another and strive to learn together to take their blogs further.

Every Tuesday night you can find the Blog Elevated team on Twitter hosting the #BlogElevated Twitter chat.
